Yin & Sound

Immerse yourself slowly and relax completely during this gentle Yin Yoga & Sound Healing.

During this journey, you'll have the opportunity to explore and discover the connection between your body, breath, and mind at a deeper level. We'll hold the gentle Yin poses for a while, supported by the sounds of crystals, Tibetan singing bowls, and various other instruments.

As you listen and connect with the beautiful vibrations of the sounds, it becomes easier to hold the poses, allowing you to let go and relax your body and mind. The Yin sequence is specially designed to penetrate the deeper layers of your body, (re)balance your energy flow, and guide you into a deep meditative journey.

Throughout the day, we are constantly exposed to sounds. For the most part, we don't even notice that we're almost always physically responding to the sounds around us. What we realize when we consciously listen is that sounds, music, and vibration influence our mood. Our entire nervous system responds. For example, consider how certain musical pieces can influence your entire state of mind.

While sound healing methods are centuries old and used in many traditions, they are increasingly found in our modern wellness scene. Numerous fascinating studies focus on the ways in which sound and vibration influence us, down to the cellular level.

Sound waves produce unconscious activity in our brains. Each sound wave enters through our ears and penetrates our brain, where a chain reaction of psychological and physiological changes can be observed.

Sounds are not only heard by our ears but felt throughout our entire being. Sound healing also uses the power of vibrations to reach every cell in our body. Theories suggest that stressed cells change frequencies and develop uncoordinated vibrations relative to the rest of the body. Sound healing can help restore cells to functioning in harmony.

Through sound, rhythm, and frequency, we can enable our brainwaves to lower our normal beta state, the state of waking consciousness, to a relaxed alpha state, and reach the theta meditative state and even delta (sleep), where internal healing occurs.

Combined with the gentle pace and passiveness of Yin Yoga, this creates the perfect setting for a healing experience that can help reduce stress and promote relaxation.
